Default Which sub should I buy?

Please give me your best advise on this. I need to replace my JL10w6. It finally blew. Has any one heard of American bass products? Should I just buy a 10w3v3 or an Alpine type R. I have the subthump stealth box and would like to know what you other guys with this box are using.

I've never used stealth enclouser, but I would go with a JL, MTX, Infinity or a Rockford fosgate sub. I have never heard of American bass, so I cant really comment on them, but you can't go wrong with any of the four I listed above. You had a real nice sub in the w-6, great sound quality.

How many watts are you going to put to it. What amp are you using?

Type R works great for that small of an enclosure. I use it and run about 650-700 total watts to it. Hits and sounds great. Great small enclosure sub.

The amp is an old Rockford Fosgate Trans-ana rated at 250rms-500 max. It really is under rated.

There are a LOT of subs out there but I agree the Type-R is perfect for that size box, and pretty efficient. If you had a few more watts I'd reccomend the Diamond Audio's old M5 line. I'm putting 900 watts to mine and it wants more. lol
