Default Automatic headlights

Does anyone know how to disablethe automatic headlights on an '02 Camaro (without voiding the warranty)? Thanks much.

Instead of soldering a connection between A and B I jumpered it on the connector with a wire.

I'd really like to do the !DRL mod. I tried it once before, but I didn't solder anything. I just pulled the blue plug. Everything was cool except my turn signals didn't work.

Im not sure what you need more detail about? On the C2 connector I took one of the wires from an old 4-prong computer power supply that had a male and female connection on it. I shoved the female end into the top of the connector so it went over the male pin B. Then I shoved the male end of the wire into the top of the connector to pin A.

The whole procedure took me 10 minutes and I was being super careful.

Im sorry it is not as easy as pulling the blue plug. Life is a bitch sometimes. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I did it following those instructions on the website. Soldering and everything. I eventually re-activated the DRL's and it was easy to just take a razor and cut the soldering.

So if you are worried about the soldering, don't be. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Ok, the !DRL mod is done. It didn't go off without a hitch however. Here's the story:

I went to sears and bought a $6 solder iron.I have never soldered anything in my life before. I literally tried to solder this thing correctly for 2 hours! I feel like an idiot for that. But trust me, I'm not (senior chemical engineering student). Anyway, once I got the thing soldered and reinstalled in the dash I started up the car. It would barely idle. That has never happened before. I though maybe I short circuited something. I had the negative battery cable disconnected the whole time. I'm thinking the battery got drained a little or something. Is that possible with just the hot wire hooked to the battery? The car sounded like the alternator kept kicking on and the rpm's dropped to 200 several times. I took it for a spin and all seems to be well now. So what do you think? Was it just the battery?

You know the same thing happened to me. I also disconnected the negative terminal when I was doing it. The problem for me was I didn't have a wrench that could completely re-tighten the wire to the negative terminal so I had to go buy one that would fit in that little area.
Really tighten that connection. Worked for me.
