Well like it reads...
I want auto-down on BOTH windows...how can i do this?
I know it's not as simple as just chaging to the auto-down switch...but once i do this...can i use auto-down switches in place of the others...so all switches will have the auto-down imprint on them?
I've searched before i posted this and couldn't find anything
Thans alot!:worship:

Use a relay, or if you want purchase the DEI window module (Part number 530T) and they make them auto up and auto down

On the post you didn't search very well cause I remember talking about this about 2 months ago and we covered everything from adding a extra controler for the passenger side to doing the 530T (530T is much better option cause it automates both up and down for both windows) and someone even posted a link to a website where someone even switched out the switch covers so they both had auto down logos. Hell do a search for my name and it will pull up the thread I don't have that many posts to go through.
As far as the 530T goes the instructions it comes with are very good just follow them and you'll have no problems at all. You couldn't of picked a easier car to put one on. Just remember you have to catch the wires for the driver's window at the motor not the switch cause you wanna get away from the factory auto down module. Try not to unplug the motor it took me like 5 or 10 minutes to plug that lil bastard back in, but then again i got big hands or maybe I was frustrated with it at the time and it made it harder. Who knows?

Tried a search for your discussion on the DEI 530T install. Couldn't locate the thread. Could you please post a link to the thread. Thanks Dude!
The only wire that I am not sure about is the ' H2/4 Orange (-) Ground-when-armed '. Where on a 2000 Camaro would I connect this wire?
TIA!

you don't use it in a camero........that is for when your installin it with an alarm. when you apply ground to that wire it rolls both windows up. unless your installing it with a alarm you have no need for it just like you don't need the gray wire or the white/red one.(i think that's the color)

Have found out that a (-) pulse from the door lock will be okay. Needs a relay though if you don't want the windows to go up if you push the lock switch while driving the car. Don't think I'll bother with that though ( not sure how to do it ). Geeze, I'm still trying to figure out the basic install.
Also, found a way to utilize the 'Progressive Unlock' channel on the security system for 'roll windows down'. End result will be: first push of the 'Unlock' button on the remote, both doors unlock. On the second push, both windows go down.

Thinking about it your idea about rollin the windows down with the second unlock is probally possible with a lil work but unfortuatly the roll up isn't........it has to have a constant - applied not a pulse a pulse will only roll them up a inch or so..... now somethign you could do is tie a timer into your ignition wire in the column that way when your key turns off it would start the timer and 30 seconds after you turn the key off it would roll the windows up.......and now that it think of it the first thing won't work either a pulse on the red/white wire will only crack the windows. once again a timer could be used................fun fun fun

Roll up and down is possible thru factory remote. I have it. There is a diagram in the install manual for the 530 t that shows how to wire a relay to the lock wire so the windows roll up when you lock the doors. You want to add a second relay to interupt the lock pulse so they dont roll up if someone hits lock while you are driving.

Well....the 530t is in but have probs.
The passenger window works ok but nothing from the drivers window. I have the 530t connected to the brown and dark blue wires from the drivers side window motor. Tried reversing the two and still nothing. Have played around with the dip switches to no avail.
One odd thing happened though.... When I first installed the 530t, there was no movement from either window. Switched dip #5 ( changes output polarity of the 530t ) and the drivers window went up on its own ( had both windows down when I started the install ). The pass. window okay now ( up/dn ) but driver's window will not go down.
Anyone have any ideas as to what may be wrong here?
Also, does anyone know where the 'express down' module on a 2000 SS is?
TIA!
