T/A instrument cluster in Camaro?

T/A instrument cluster in Camaro? Are they essentially the same? Just plug in and bolt down? Or is the T/A gauge cluster mounted different?
I love warm red and was wondering if anyone had put one into their Camaro.

Re: T/A instrument cluster in Camaro? Most people just change the bulbs. Do a search and you'll find some detailed info about it, along with details on bulb part #'s.
As far as the TA bezel goes, that'll work fine with your Camaro gauges.

Re: T/A instrument cluster in Camaro? You can't just change the bulbs because Pontiac's also use clear bulbs too! Our displays are called "translucent" and the color we see is because of the color it's painted on the backside of the plastic gauge face.
If you were to pull apart a Chevy display, the back of the dials are white. If you pull apart a Pontiac, it's orange/red.
Otherwise I know what size bulbs they are, I probably have several hundred of them in my tool chest from all the GM intstrument clusters I've taken apart.

Re: T/A instrument cluster in Camaro? They are the 194 bulbs however, you can't get this style 194 at Pep Boys. Our 194 bulbs have a plastic base that half screws into the IC board(s) in our instrument cluster. Your only option unless Pep Boys can order them is the dealer.

Re: T/A instrument cluster in Camaro? Correction on the camaro back lighting . On the back of the guage faces the camaro has a layer of white with a layer of light blue on top . So , red bulbs ""may"" come purplish looking . Thats how you get a hyperwhite light look from the regular 37 bulbs in the chevy dash lighting .
