I have a Formula and I can have my fog lights on without the headlights being up. The first position on the **** is "parking lights". In that position, Fog Lights, DRLs and side markers are on with the headlights down. This is how it works stock on my car.

Yeah same on my T/A. I thought that is how it is on all the cars? The headlights dont need to be on. Just your running lights. Now if you wanted them on with the brights I could see the difference.

the first postion is only running lights, the headlights should not even flip up. i think you have another problem, maybe with the headlight motors. but the headlights should not come on or flip up with the first position.

Yeah, I had this problem when I bought my formula, only my passenger side headlight was grinding as well. I have heard that even without the grinding, this is a common problem. You need to rotate the headlight motor gear on at least one of your headlights 180* as the teeth are getting worn and the auto-adjustment is not working. I will look for the thread I used and post up a link later tonight.

Yeah you're car does the same **** as mine.
Its not normal.
The popup lights SHOULD NOT come up when you turn the **** to Parking Lights which is the first one from the left...or middle one.

You'll have to replace them eventually when the plastic gears strip out. Might as well upgrade to the brass gears while you're at it.

You dont have to replace the whole motor when the gear strips. You can do the 180* mod and when it eventually strips again, replace the gear with a brass one.
