my personal opinion... There are no "good" radar detectors out there for $100.00. Look into Cobra or Solo, but they might be a little more. Still not that great though.

I agree with 2KFORMULA don't go cheap...I got the V1 as well, best damn thing out there..
Its 400 bucks, but will save you that much in tickets, the thing works amazing, I sometimes get annoyed by it because it works good, but really saves my butt in those situations... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

here in kuwait i noticed that all of the highway radar camers work on the K band which can be jammed completly by the scorpion jammer (jams K and X band). i haven't noticed a laser or other than K band. but is that true to detect a laser you need to put some kind of antenna out side the car and that antenna should be connected to the radar detector so that it can detect laser?

As far as cheap radar detectors go, I don't think you can beat Uniden. I have owned 3 Unidens. I don't know the exact model of the current one I am using, but it was about $75 and has all the bands including laser, etc. Has worked well for me.
