Power Window problems. . . thought it was motor, isn't. . .
So I bought a new motor.
I removed the old one, and plugged in the new one, but not installed in the door yet.
It would only power it one way (up, I think).
In any case, I figured that maybe there was something internally that had to "trip" or reset to allow the motor to go the other way.
We installed the motor. . .it moved the window up 1" (the final way to the top), and it stopped. Now it won't power it back downwards.
Neither the driver's side or pass. side will do it.
We unplugged each switch while trying the other, and nothing.
Any ideas/guesses?

I'll be checking out the power window control module tomorrow night. . .anyone have any experiences w/ that?
Take the switch out of the plastic panel in the door, and look at the sides of the rocker. There's probably a crack in that switch on one side, which lets it activate for one direction, but not the other.
The other possibility is the express down module is bad. I've actually got a spare one sitting at home. Lemme know if your switch isn't bad, and I'll hook you up on the express down module.
Thing is. . . neither switch from the driver's side or pass. side works.
This is the pass. side window.

What about a siezed regulator? Or maybe the window came off it's track? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
I got hold of a schematic & started jumping voltage & ground to different points, and sure enough, the window went up & down.
We checked the switch separate then. . . jumping 2 points together, and then another 2, pushing the button, and sure enough, it wouldn't work for the down direction.
Now I need to find a switch.
The weird thing is, the driver's side switch doesn't operate the pass. side right now, and I can't see how the pass. side switch would affect the driver's side.
So, I guess I'll be replacing one switch at a time.
Just need to find them somewhere!

(sends a ground?), but maybe if its broken and its always sending the ground? its making the drivers side not work. like if somebody in the pasenger seat keeps trying to roll down the window, and they are holding the switch down, and you press yours up, it wont work, until they let go....

We checked & double-checked the switch & wires going to the pass. side, and it looked like all the pos. voltage & grounds were in the right spots. . . and we even jumped them and got the window to go up and down.
Then when we checked the pass. side switch, it appeared it wasn't doing what it was supposed to. . . I replaced the switch, and nothging.
So, I replaced the driver's side switch, and kept my original pass. switch in place, and it works good now.
