Default Elemental Designs

I stopped by the Elemental Designs shop in Newton, IA on Friday to pick up a sub. They gave me a tour of the place and a listen in a couple of their cars, as well as their new home audio line. Very impressive. Great group of guys and great products. I really like the sub I got, the 6500s in one of the employee's cars sounded awesome (I would've picked some up to replace the Type-R components I have but didn't want to spend the extra money just yet) and their home audio products sounded great as well. I know they've been spoken highly of here before, but I'd never heard any of their products. Now I have, and I'm convinced. Plus, they're an Iowa company, and I'm biased.

I just got 200 sq ft of their eDead v1 delivered today. Got a 20% forum discount. I will be taking my interior apart this weekend to start the intsall. Heavy stuff so I guess I'll just have to lose 50 lbs I'll be adding

Mike, I got a great discount too. That allowed me to get the higher spec sub. Let me know what you think of the eDead. I picked up some of the paint on stuff and will put it on sometime soon (hopefully).

Just make sure you prep well. I cleaned the hell out of everything and still had some of that stuff fall off inside the doors.

You probably used the old asphault based stuff. The new edead is butyl based and sticks to everything

how well does their eDead line compare to...say...second skin or dynamat/dynamat extreme? is there a website i can go to that compares a bunch of sound deadening material?

i really like the fact that i can order by sq. ft. instead of bulk packs..and its really cheap - $1 per sq.ft. of eDead v1??

Find the right discount and get it for .80 per sq ft...I'm starting my install today. I will take lots of pictures.

My friend just got an elemental design 15. It weights 55 lbs, and is by far the loudest speaker I've ever heard. He only has one in his jeep now, but just built a 7.5 cf box to fit two.

Nice stuff, if you got box room, they will sound good in 7.5cf. Hell, all the major brands will sound good in there. There's many loud speakers, hehe.

Sensitivity on ED stuff seems to be fairly low, actually... I plan to use an Image Dynamics IDQ in a stealth box, personally.
