Default autozone window motor info

just quickly letting people know, i just installed a dorman window motor in my car and its damn good. it comes with hardware and is a ton more powerful then the siemens and the oem. only downside is it is loud as hell. if anyone does get it, dont bother with that little bracket it comes with, its useless. hope this helps someone

Same here. I put one in and love it. I would rather have the noise. Now, since I have 2 cars, I only need to install 3 more. lol

Thanks, I am about to do it too. Say, is there alot of riveting when you swap the motor or is it straight forward enough not to worry about doing it myself?

No riveting required, they give you nuts and bolts to use instead of rivets. I put loc-tite on them so that they'd never come loose.

Where can I get a Dorman motor?
Does it look any different than the OEM or Seimens?

EDIT:
I think I found their website.
Is this it?

the window regulator probably got unbolted as well. you need to take off your door panels and mess around in there. just look for anything that looks amiss and make a ghetto fix. my passenger side regulator unbolted itself as well, i bolted it back in and the window worked again. you'd be surprised how often those quick, little fixes solve what you expect to be a big problem.

edit: i would recommend replacing the window motor while you have the door panels off anyways. especially if they are old or on their way out.

Hey guys,

If your motor is not dead and just slow you may want to check our kit out.

We just started advertising here on Ls1tech and should have our banner up any day now.
