Default New System ~ Tell Me What I am Missing ~~ Few Questions !!!

Hey Boys,

Thought I would put a list together for my christmas present from the fiancee.

Alpine CDA9857 Head Unit
Subthump Dual 10" T Top Box
2- Kicker 10" Solobaric L7's
1- Kicker kx1200.1 to power both subs

Now I am looking at components and amps to power those components. I want something crisp and clean.

My Questions:
1. Best components for the $$$.
2. Best amp to power those components.
3. Will the kicker kx1200.1 be enough to power both L7's without it overheating.
4. Anything else i a missing ???

Any other suggestions you guys might have, please enlighten me. I am still a noOb when it comes to stereo equipment, but i am learning slowly but surely.

PLEASE HELP !!!

You'll need a wiring kit and also a compacitor. You'll need a wiring harness for the cd player. Might want to get some new door speakers for better sound cause the bass will be louder then it, trust me I know. LoLz Might want to get some crossovers. Not really needed but they do help. You'll also need a new brace thing so it fits right where the stock radio was unless you already got a new cd player in or w/e.

But seriously he's right. Then stick a set of Type R Coaxials in your sail panels. Get all your stuff from onlinecarstereo.com too. Great prices, and free shipping.

Front
Sail Panel

Those should be great for what you need. Amp them with one of these.
75 x 4

Or if that is too expensive:

60 x 4

That site doesn't sell Infinity amps, but those are nice too. If you can find one for a good price, then go for it. Both those amps will take full advantage of what the speakers can handle and will leave headroom for if you want to get beefier speakers later on. Meaning you'll run your gain on them a little low so you don't over power the speakers.

The Big Three:

http://forum.sounddomain.com/forum/u...=5;t=007801;p=

Definitely the first thing to look in to if you are concerned about power issues, in most cases afterwards you don't even need a capactior

There was a thread earlier that linked to a site that sold a really nice big 3 kit for around 50-60 buck I think. A lot of people make their own, but for some it can be kind of a pain in the ***. I'll try to dig it up.
