Default Car alarm freaking out for no apparent reason

My alarm started going off last night for no apparent reason. What should I loook for? Its the stock alarm. Just seems to go off intermittently.

A few seconds after arming? First thing I'd do is try turning the sensitivity down on the shock sensor, if that doesn't work disconnect it temporarily and see if it stops.

The shock sensors are also vulnerable to moisture and judging by your location I guess you get your fair share of that. Sometimes turning down the sensitivity will work, sometimes only disconnecting the sensor or replacing it will solve the problem.

Yep we're getting hammered by precipitation in one form or another. Lst night it was a combination of freezing and then fog. My guess is condensation. Where is the sensor? Is it in the back by the speaker? I that the only sensor on board? Thx for the help

It's under the hatch trim panel on the right side in front of the spare tire. There's only the one.

right on, I've seen it many times. Ok if I unplug it and the alrm still goes off then what?

I've heard this is pretty commmon before. It happened to me as well. I just hoped that it would stop and it did, never happened again. Yeaaaah.
