I got one for me and my boyfriend for Christmas and had posted asking the same thing. We installed it yesterday in his DD and are having trouble with the signal. It keeps cutting out saying "Acquiring Signal". The antenna in his car is mounted inside above the rearview mirror. I tried mine out...not installed just hooked up this morning, put my antenna in the same place and it does the same thing...cuts out while driving to work. A guy at work said his sirius won't work with the antenna inside so this afternoon we'll try it mounted outside. I'll be putting mine on the back hatch glass and running the wires through the headliner

I had the tuner first, but then got the adaptor for my Alpine headunit and like it much better that way. I also tried several places for the antenna, but finally just put it on the roof of the car behind the t-tops with some 3M tape and it gets much better reception

I just put my antenna inside the plastic hatch cover piece, seems to work there, I just need to sticky tape it . I am getting a lot of static when the car is running, but it is clear when I shut the car off, any ideas.

ur getting feedback from somewhere. did it start right after u put ur satellite radio in? I'd check how u mounted everything and try to insullate it all with double back tape or velcro.

Is it true that you can mount the anntenna in the rear hatch inside the gray panel and still get great reception.

To answer most of your questions, The sirius Antenna needs to be mounted on the very top of the car.. I tried mine, in the car, in the back hatch hidden, Under the hood, Under the wing.. All did me no good and got no signal, or it cut in an out. So now i have the wire running under the t top head liner and i mounted my antenna on that plastic piece on the T bar Using a 1/8 inch thick of Heavy duty double sided tape. Best reception. Almost looks stock ha

BTW, dont think it matters but my setup is the
Eclipse CD4000 deck and the Sirius Tuner kit that chills mounted in my Glove box.
Along with every other Audio crap. eh

I tried mine inside the car above the rear view mirror and it cut in and out also. A guy at work did the same thing...same problem. I think it depends on where you live. The sirius satellites...all 4 of them orbit so sometimes they are out of range and if there arent enough repeaters you get problems...at least that's what I read on the sirius forum.

Here's a animation of the satellites orbits.

Also a link to the orbits and drops in signal:

This shows where all the repeaters are also...click the links for your area on the left
