Sorry bud, but there is no way you are going to convince me that 2 10w3's in sealed boxes put out 144db. Sorry, no way. You must be using a radio shack meter.
Not trying to be a jerk, but I know what it takes to get that kind of SPL and I have never seen even 2 10's of any make/model (round cone) put out that kind of DB.
Clean install none the less.

I also know what kind of power it takes to get that spl. It was not a radioshack meter either because they only go up to 130 at best. The one they used was a mic of some sort mounted in my car pointing toward the windsheild. Mike at F-body audio did 148 spl with 2 W3's in his wife's vehicle. I'm not trying to convince you but I'm not gonna be called a liar either. I NEVER expected to do that well much less win my class. Clash of titans does sound competitions at at several car audio shops. I don't know what kind of mic or meter they use to measure spl but I'm sure you can go to their web site and inquire.

Thanks for the compliments guys!! I really appreciate it as I did put alot of time and effort into it. I may try out CDT's subs here pretty soon just to see what they are like. I may also start building passenger side stealth boxes since aot of people seem to be interested in them. Didn't realize the demand for those things. Most people knocked them when they came out because it deleted the spare. Flip side ofthat is you can getmore airspace out of a passenger side cause theres more room!! Thanks again guys!!!

Either way it's all good, I had never competed before, ever!! I just did it for fun and fun I had. I was the only muscle car there!! I never designed this system for SPL competition...I designed it for good SQ even at high volume and it does get loud!! I have alot more control over my sound with the new HU. It has nice EQ controls and crossovers. The overall system suits my needs and allows me to use my cargo area. Couldn't ask for much more!! Again, thanks for all the compliments!!!

This may be an unnecessary question seeing as I've read that the EXAD headunits are 1-din but will the HUMounts go around them just like any other headunit? I just found out about the new EXAD with navigation and thought damn, that and a HUMount wrap would probably be my best option. That way I wouldn't have to modify the dash trim or have a pop-out unit. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive for an in-dash nav. unit.

Hi Smokey, as far as the EXAD fitting a HUMount, I'm pretty sure I read another guy had the exact same avx1 as me but had to have HUMount modified to fit properly. Not sure why though as my avx1 fit in the same opening I had my Panasonic in with no mods, cuts, etc. I think that would look awesome though. His did!! I really like the HUMount and think it does wonders for a nice install. I also am considering using one of the A/V inputs for navigation.
Honboy, if you lived a little closer than Indiana I'd build your system for you!!! I've always built them for people (friends, people at work, etc.), just never done it for a living. Most of them I did for fun anyway!! Always have had good results though, I just don't have enough time to do it like I used to. I really enjoy it though.
