First system install.

Im going to attempt to install my first system this weekend.Car is a 98 Formula.I was just curious if you guys have any suggestions or things I should look out for that may not be covered in the FAQ's?Also should the computer actually be taken out of the car to get to the firewall hole?I assume it wont lose my tune or any info?Would really appreciate any help or suggestions.Thanks!!!

More good info on systems for these cars is on Fbodyaudio.com. It covers just about anything you'd want to know about doing your first system and then some!! As far as your tune going away because you disconnect the PCM...not gonna happen. Check out that site as well as the FAQ's here and that should answer most of your questions. If not check back!! To determine what direction to go with a stereo install, you need to know:

1. How money you want to spend.
2. Do you want a stealth setup or go all out.

You still can go all out WITH a stealth setup, which brings you back to #1, if you are willing to spend the money.

But, it appears anyway that he's made his purchases since he said he will be attempting the install this weekend.

Any specs/info on the items to be installed?

Yeah, when my stealth setup is done, I'll challenge most of you with hatch boxes

Maybe I should take it to local competitions...

thanks for the suggestions guys.Im in the middle of it right now.System consists of polks in the door ,pioneers in the sail panels,stealth box with a JBL 10 and a 4 channell MTX amp.My friend is helping me out,hes very knowledgeable thank god.Now were trying to mount the amp and looking for a suitable ground.
