Default Right Turn Signal

On my 99 Formula, When I turn on my right turn signal, the arrow stays solid, no blinking and dosent make a noise, and the right side turn signal lights do not come on. The left turn signal dosent have any problems whatsoever. Any ideas on what could be going on?

That's to tell you that the bulb is no longer good.....however, the bulb may be fine - and there could be a loose connection, etc.. try hitting the light housing gently, opening it up and visually checking the bulb, actually test the bulb, test the socket with another bulb, etc. etc...

It's probably your front bulb... harder to get to and all, but don't forget to check your rear bulb also...

"Blinker" being such a technical term, I'm not sure what you mean. If you're refering to the turn signal flasher then that's not possible. The same flasher is used for both side turn signals - if either side works then you can eliminate the flasher as being the source of the problem.

Most of the time this problem is caused by a burned out bulb - especially the front bulb. The easiest way to check is to turn on your hazard flashers and walk around the car looking for the lamp that doesn't flash. The front is suspect because they tend to get water in them. You should also check the bulb socket because that water causes corrosion that will prevent the light from working properly. If the corrosion isn't too bad then clean it out and apply some dielectric grease to keep moisture out. If the socket is too far gone then you can get replacements at the local auto parts store for about $10 each.

The same thing happened to me, replaced the bad bulb and replace the flasher, that should do it.

No, that was my point. Replace the bulb but DO NOT replace the flasher - you'd just be wasting your money. The flasher can't be the problem because one side still works.

Just be careful on the front turn signal bulbs as the glass tends to be a bit brittle over time. I had the pleasure of one shattering between my first finger and thumb when trying to pull it out of the socket. Blood everywhere!! The front turn signal sockets tend to burn up a bit too. Have a look at that while your in there. Couple people have had issue with that (including myself) and not the bulb. Good luck!!
