Default T2 15" ROCKFORD vs KICKER SOLO BARIC L-7 15"

i have $2500 in hand to spend on sub a couple subs, which ones will be better? they both use the same wattage, which will probably last longer and which will sound better or louder? dont want to make a mistake with $2500 if thats even enough for box, amps, wires, labor inc.

Different manufacturers recommend different break-in periods. To be safe, play music at lower levels for 20 hours of playing rime or so -- or see what the manufacturer recommends.

$2500 is A LOT....where do you plan on purchasing from -- and what amp will they be powered with?

fosgate all the way!!!! i've had both and the fosgates have a better overall sound and will hit every note and HARD!!!! i only had the 12's and ended up blowing my box apart even after i liquid nailed it, caulked, and used like 100 wood screws. i had 1075 Watts going to each. make sure u got an amp or actually amps. to power them, distortion from tryin to squeeze too much power out of a small amp kills speakers

audio pros, they have lifetime warranties, kicker amps hopefully, 1250watt mono amps to each sub sound good? rms is 1000 peak is 2000 for subs

the T2''s are too expensive, what about the T1s 15" vs the solo L7 15"? 1250 amps per sub good? 1000rms, 2000 peak for both subs

I think the L7 will be better. The kicker amps will also be nice.

You also don't have to break in subs. Just install and play...

what are these going in??? i've personally prefered the 12" subs for the overall sound. the t1's are nice i think they'll keep up with the kicker, but the kicker will hit alil harder, but i still say fosgate sounds better overall. 2 t1's will hit hard as u want trust me. also there is a break in period. you have to play the subs at lower levels for the first bout 10 hrs of use and gradually turn them up. the sub will hit even harder and sound even better after u break them in

I just got rid of my rockford fosgate 500 rms max 1000w he2 4 ohm dvc 2 15'S IN MY TA. Even with the extremely well crafted subthump box there just wasnt enough air for them to do their trick.

So I had them them for 2 years and used a rocckford fosgate 800a2 runnign them.

I just got another subthumop box the t top one, witht he 13Ov2 or whatever dual 12's. Same amp. They sound much nicer and seem to be a little sharper and harder.. im guessing its all just cause i want them to be better l)

but honestly I think you will be happier with really hard hitting powerful 12s over 15s if in a f body.

Now in my Jeep.. those 15s were friggin insane.. but I also used a much bigger box hehe

The fosgate is going to hit harder than the Kicker if your looking for an spl setup...but the kicker win's in lower price category if your looking to save some of the money.. btw why do you choose these two brands?

the 12s from subthump are elemental designs.. hadnt heard of them.. but i really like em so far.... these 13Ov2 or whatever seem to be higher quality than those rf he-2's

both subs are very good products. I personally thing you will get a little more volume from a L7.

Honestly, I like the fosgate amps slightly better now that the original designer is back. Those who don't know, he returned last year and you can tell by the square design versus those rounded amps.

t2 is very nice. Me personally, I would pick two 12s over a single 15 anyday of the week. It will give you way more volume than a single setup. Assuming we are talking same air space, or same trunk spot, rofl.

You can always go the two 15s.

Honestly, you will be happy with either company, and it shouldn't cost you anywhere near $2500 unless your buying from a dealer which benefits the warranties. But if you don't break them in 90 days, chances are you won't break them. That goes for subs or amps.

Ive definitely been fooled by max power and rms on speakers and subs. Mostly by them not sounding as good if they are barely powered. Such as HE-2 rms 500 but i you ower em at 200w the dont sound anywhere near as nice a if powered at 750w.

Worse is when you do that with regular car speakers.. spend all that money only to have it sound crisp but half the volume it was before ehe
