car alarm I think!!

so i have fully gutted my car and on the passenger side rear quarter panel on the inside there is a black box or some kind of module with a main wiring harness connected to it. Is this my car alarm and vats and can i remove this?

There would be two black boxes back there. If it's about the size of a pack of cigarettes and laying flat on the fenderwell then it's the shock sensor for the alarm. If it's bigger and mounted vertically to a bracket then it's the Monsoon amplifier.

the amp has got that big damn harness going to it? So i can take both of them out and take all that harness out with it?

Well, the amp has a 32-pin connector if that's what you mean by a big harness.

Sure, if you're not going to be using the Monsoon stereo then you can remove the amp and harness.

cool thanks i was worried it had something to do with the alarm since that shock sensor box was thier so close and i didnt want it to mess with the vats and all that good stuff. but anyway thanks!!

good luck removing that harness.

the audio wiring is one and the same as the rest of the interior body harness. Only way to remove it is to remove all of the tape and loom and go wire by wire.
