Default Lights on radio not coming on

Ok a while back I noticed that a few of the lights for the radio would not come on. My buddy and I removed the cover and messed around with it for a little bit. Well when we put it back on, none of the lights on the radio would come on.

Do I need to replace the piece with all of the bulbs on it? If so where would you recommend I get another one from?

I dont think its the bulbs though. There are several individual bulbs and like i said only a couple werent working. As soon as we took off the cover looked around and put it back on, None of the bulbs worked. Thats way too coincidental for them all to go out simultaneously.

yes, but the fact that half of them were out is not. If ur dimmer switch was out, NONE of them would work. Try the cheapest route with bulbs first, then be careful when putting it back together.

Wait I remember all the bulbs are soldered on to the piece. So I really cant just replace the bulbs.

Just because they're soldered doesn't mean you can't replace them. The replacement bulbs are designed to be soldered in place of the originals.

However, I would check the connection between the board and the rest of the radio first. It is possible that all the bulbs went at once but it's more likely that their connection to power or ground isn't secure.

Strange think happened to me yesterday.
I had 3 bulbs out on my Monsoon buttons. I got 3 272-1154 bulbs from Radio Shack. I replaced the 3 bulbs and put it all back together. Now the 3 new bulbs are working, but all the rest are now out. what gives?

anybody know why replacing the burnt out bulbs with the radioshack 272-1154 bulbs would make the ones that were working quit?

I'm going to replace all of them with the 272-1154 and see what happens.
