Default Alpine People Come In Please (odd Prob)

Ok I have an Alpine headunit and I bought the cable so that I can play my ipod through the HU. The problem is at first the damn thing worked.(where i had control over my ipod and **** and I could scroll through my playlists and such) Well now I cant do any of the sort. When ever I press the folder button over on the side it just beeps ant me and does nothing. I have to go to the playlist before hand and then plug it in to get to that playlist. I dont know what the hell the problem is. Can anybody help me get contol of my ipod?

I have one in the daily driver, never had any issues.

Did you by chance pull the wire out of the back of the head unit?

try to unplug the unit fromthe radio and plug it ack in again. also check for a fuse in line with the wires (not familiar with the unit).

you also might want to try a reset of your radio.

I have exactly what you have but a Pioneer HU and the Ipod connector i have had it for about a little over a year and i haven't had a problem like that. Did you just buy like you could exchange it for a new one?

hmm, wierd. have you updated your firmware on the IPOD? Ive seen this fix many problems with people using ipod adapters for their vehicles. The only ohter thing is if you pulled the cable and it pinched itself, and there is a short in the cable.
