Default New Sub Setup in my WS6

well ive had two 15" Elemental Designs 16ov's for the last few months running off a single JBL BP1200.1. so i finally got another amp to match, and moved the subs. this is how it used to be.

i built a rear seat delete which still needs a face to cover up all the supports and whatnot underneath, but right now it functions for what i need it for(holding subs).

also did big 3 upgrade under the hood, ran another 4 ga wire and built some amp racks. my nitrous bottle will be mounted between the amps, and i will be upgrading to 2 18"s soon hopefully. i wanna do ported so bad, but i really dont think there is any room. right now the subs are tuned to about 800 RMS each and the lights dance like crazy still after the wiring upgrade. i still have more crap to do and mount everything but heres pics from the install last night...

fuse holder under the hood is way to far from the battery. Try to keep it within 18" for safety reasons. Other then that, looks good.

yah dude that's slight overkill lol..

1 10" sub did plenty for me, and it fit well down in the rear hatch. just get 1 really good sub/amp and you wont need all of that.

Damn! I'd rather keep my backseat but to each his own. I recently took my probox out and it makes a BIG difference as far as acceleration and gas mileage.

Im going to fab up on of these as soon as my shoulder heals, its going to be slightly different, im going to make it smaller and the amps are getting mounted on a rear subthump.com amp rack i got for 25 bucks. Also im going to mount my xbox right next to it.

I am also debating on putting 2 6x9's where the amps are mounted since i dont have any rear hatch speakers in my 94. But who knows.

box and 2 subs weighs a bit over a hundo. very easy to pull out tho anytime.

and the car ran a 12.5 at 117 the day before i did this, so i felt content enough to add weight.

they sound pretty wicked, i had some dude pull over in front of me cause he thought i was flashing him, really it was just every bass note, pullin my car past 13 volts.haha

id still like to figure out a way to port these suckers or my ultimate plan, port 2 18"s, same subs, sub 18s instead of 15s. i know for sure that will take work and be damn near impossible. however it could work.

Well...a set of dubs and lots of decals all over should make you feel right at home in "da hood".

a dick in your mouth should make you feel right at home in "your kinda hood"

sometimes i wonder why people who think big systems in an fbody are stupid, even come into this section.

i dont go into the 9 second car section and tell people what they should be doing differently...

transambandit, thats a nice looking setup, i would prolly say dont do the 6x9s in the back, i dont run any hatch speakers. most cars can easily do 4 nice speakers off a 2 or 4 channel and not need anything else for mids and highs.

thanks for that info Mike, theres a lot of stuff that prolly wouldnt hold up well in a competition, (no cap etc.) but it works for me and so far havent had a problem. i will take that into consideration tho.

FYI to everyone, i started with a single 12", then 2 12"s then the 2 12"s off nicer amp and they couldnt take the power, at least not what i wanted to give them.lol. then i got these running off a single JBL, and it was clipping mad, now i have this. some think its too much, i personally think its just what i need, possibly not enough still. i might go ported if i can fit a box/ 2 single boxes to conserve space, all tho idk yet. if anyone is wondering, all this crap can be removed from the car in about 2 minutes. the only permanent thing really is the rear seat delete which i can take out if i need to, however i dont ever plan on doing so. i also never used the back seat and needed a different place to fire the subs instead of directly into the glass.

Watch your mouth boy. When you post pictures and invite comments, don't get pissed when others don't always like what you've done. If you can't take some teasing then don't ask for opinions.
