Default Help on Monsoon. Uninstalling it.

What is that cable behind the unit. 1/4" black cable (it has yellow band). Where can I disconnect it?

The antenna cable? It just pulls out of the back of the HU.

Will I able to put that cable back into that hole after I pull it?

If you are putting in an aftermarket HU you'll need an adapter, GM has this funny mini plug. I got mine from ebay, an antenna plug adapter for GM cars.

Yep, going to need an aftermarket HU. I tried to fix my monsoon and failed. CD function decided to head south. My Ipod is useless now. Looks like I'm going to sell my GM adapter I pod harness.

I have a monsoon deck if you want it.... a little rough on the outside (couple of the small ***** have some small cracks and needs the bulb for 2 and 5 replaced) but you could probably pull those from your dead monsoon. Just tossing that out there. I know I won't want it again. Thing is it is at home, I'm here at school, won't be back home until the 14th after finals. Of course aftermarket HUs are definitely better.
