Help!!!!!Black Box
In my opinion. You are young. Your dad let you have a powerful car for your age and you shouldn't be doing crazy things in it. no matter how many people or friends egg you on to burn out or go fast. Speed kills and it is no joke. if you want to go fast get your dad to take you to a track.

Listen people..We don't know the kid..Nothing against him,but We don't know the dad's reason for doing it. He should be happy he has the car. I wouldn't be happy about it either,but Kids do stupid things and maybe his dad just doesn't want him dead! Maybe the kid is prone to going to parties..All speculation..Or Maybe his dad is Jessica Simpson's controlling dad..I'm close to 40 ,been there done that,so I'm no kid..I've had 10 sports cars..My dad is super controlling,but that is one area he was really cool..I have had 1 speeding ticket in 20 yrs..I probably deserve 1,000 of them tho.. Just be cool,be responsible and wait it out..Did he give you a time table for it coming off? If your a young guy,you need to prove yourself like I did..Hell,Hulk Hogan has one on his daughters car..

Your dad probably put that thing in your car because he knows you are going to get into trouble with it. Be responsible and dont screw around in that car. He knows you better than anyone else. If you bypass it he will probably find out. Dont be an idiot

nuff said kid.....ur lucky you got a car... i would of kicked your *** and put you in a 3.4 1994 camaro.......... if u do **** like the above u deserve to have that in your car.....you got owned by your pops and whoever helps you block that **** is a stupid ****.....cause when they post that you died it wont be that funny anymore....i guess its your dads fault for giving u that car in the first place
Now of course, I'm making assumptions here...
1 - If his dad helped him get the car, he needs to stop his bitchin'
2 - With a powerful car like that, his dad just wants a little insurance that he'll be driving safe
3 - I'm assuming from what he said (and didn't day) that he's under 20 yrs old. Funny thing, car accidents/fatalities are highest for drivers 16-19 yrs old. Maybe he does drive responsibly, but if he's bitchin' about the black box...I highly doubt it!!! Don't think his dad would be trippin about him doing 5 mph over the speed limit occassionally.
4 - Honestly, if his dad felt he had to put in the black box, it's his fault for getting his kid that car in the first place
5 -His dad's trying to teach him something. It's a lot easier to walk a straight line when someone else is watching, as opposed when the only one keeping you in check, is yourself.

If he's under 18 like he indicated in his post about top speed, then It's pretty safe to assume that his dad bought it for him. What 16/17 year old can afford to drive an F-body convertible by themselves? Not many. That being said, Dad's the boss.
