And no bass CD is going to make your car hit a number really. All the SPL guy's use test tones and burb their systems for max output and max ability for the equipment to take more then it's rated power.

Well I am assuming that the SPL guys are guys that build stero systems for a living and have some what of a unlimited amount of money to make a bad a** system. My system was built at the time for a little thump in the trunk, not a full blown stereo. Now it has evoled into a hard hitting Camaro. I don't know if I wrote this in a earlier post but the guys here in Pensacola tuned the car for a DB drag in their shop. I was told that if the voltage was able to stay up in the 14volt area the dbs would have been higher, but seeing that I haven't found a CAP that I like voltage is a problem. The car Spike 135 for a slpit second and held at 133 constant. The car was tuned on a test tones sound track not sure which one. But damn 133 is f ing loud enough for me, and plus I would like to hear when I get old...

Also does anyone know what the (Defeat) is? the Alpine head unit has it in set up where you adjust subwoofer and bass, treble etc. It is either on or off. When you swtich it the sound cuts off and then comes back on. I don't notice a difference when changed.
