Question Replacement ***** for Camaro Monsoon head unit?

Anyone know a place to find these....especially the smaller plastic ***** for Bal/Fade/Bass/Treb?

The ones in my 'new' 99Z are cracked in a bad way.

They're not sold individually. I'd visit your local junk yard.

That is what I am really afraid of. I'm hoping someone out there knows of some well-kept secret for a place that you can get them new.

Are others having the same problem with cracks?

So I guess I should change my question.

Does anyone have a dead Monsoon on the shelf, and would you like me to take those plastic ***** off your hands?

Check out the For Sale section. There is often a Monsoon headunit listed. Also check out ebay. There are usually plenty listed there as well.

Maybe I'll just go "test drive" a Camaro on a used car lot.....preferably one with a factory radio.

Yep, at that $$/ounce you would think the damn things were made of platinum.

I got replacements from the dealer. $12.00 each, needed 2 so it was 24 bucks. I hated it but didn't have a problem finding them.

How about just changing the whole unit.. ? That monsoon unit sucks compared to most anything else.. I just replaced it and couldn't be happier.

I think people have it wrong for the most part. From what I have seen so far it is the speakers not the HU that is crap. It matches and blends with what is there. Change it and all bets are off.

Why does it seem like these ***** are cracked on every single radio. Even the ones on the dealer lots...

All GM parts are EXPENSIVE. I'm sure there are limitations as to how low you can go when you have to buy them from GM in the first place... At least ReplacementRadios.com has them a priced a little cheaper than the dealer. And it looks like that price includes shipping, for what it's worth...
