if replacing the sail panel speakers I'm getting ready to put some kicker cvt65 they will fit right and work great with factory amp and the jl 6w0 will also fit but they are 4 ohms or 8 ohms but they will still work.

i have the Boston Acoustics PRO60 in the front and a Boston G2 10" sub in a subthump stealth box. im still looking for some "filler speakers" to go in the rear passenger spaces right now there is nothing there an im using the stock rear trunk area speakers as fillers. I have a Eclipse XA5000 amp powering it all. I love the sound.

I ditched the factory 4" and used mb quart 5x7s. It takes a little work, but worth it.

That's pretty much the setup I'm going to get. How do you like them? They aren't bright speakers are they? I want something smooth..I heard some diamond's that were awesome.. $309 at Ultimate Electronics,Online, probably half that.

Rear as in hatch? If so, just disconnect them.

Some guys do that too, but I like the 5x7s there then you can run some nice mid-bass in the sails. I started with 4" plates but they were too bright.

i love my setup. i think if you get the right front components and a good sub in the back you dont really need any other speakers for our cars.

I just installed a set of Kicker 08CVT65-2 2 ohm speakers in the sail panel of my 2000 Z-28, They sound awesome! i would recommend them to anyone who has a Camaro since they are the perfect replacement for our 2 ohm sail panel speakers. They also come in a 4 ohn version also. I purchased them on the internet for 54.95 a piece stay away from ebay there atleast 70$ apiece. Worth every penny!
