What speakers to go with?
What speakers to go with? I was reading through old threads and didn't find a concrete answer I was looking for so here it goes...
I have the Monsoon system in my car and I want to replace the door & sail panel speakers because one of the doors is blown and I may as well replace them all at once. I am not looking for anything fancy, all I want is aftermarket speakers that will work and sound good with the stock Monsoon HU & amp without breaking the bank (~$150 for 4). What do I need?
Lastly, the previous owner unhooked the rear hatch speakers and is powering aftermarket sail panel speakers (not sure the brand, just saw they weren't stock) with the wires from the hatch speakers.
Has anyone heard of this?

Has anyone heard of this?and yea the reason hes running the wires from the hatch to the sail panel is because the sail panel speakers are the woofers and the hatch ones are speakers
If you want to maintain the stock amp you will need to go with some component speakers in the front doors and midbass speakers in the sail panels.
I will eventually go with the CL-61CV and CL-6 speakers.

Do the tweeters have to be installed with the door speakers? Like I said, all I'm looking for is a 'run of the mill' speaker setup. Can someone post a link to exactly what I need?

Verdad Gallardo you might be better off just getting an OEM replacement speaker for the door if you want to stay on a tight budget. 4 speakers for $150 is going to be tough and might not sound as good as stock but good luck.

Infinity Kappa 62.7i are what I used to replace my fronts. Nice improvement over stock and installation was a breeze because they had separate wires for both the mid and tweeter speakers (on many cheap options, you need to do a little soldering and splicing to add an extra set of wires). If you do some searching here and on the net, you'll find reputable companies selling them for around $65 a pair.
I'm probably going to do a special for August of some sort. Not sure what yet but I will put something together. I do have some inventory I want to clear out. Actually some pretty expensive stuff that I want to move so I will be discounting it pretty drastically.
IM also looking for some replacement speakers for my 2002 camaro coupe. I have the stock mosoon with a mtx thunderform with the built in amp. but my door speakers are starting to crackle. I would like some recommendations. I would like some plug and play speakers if possible. If i can purchase from a sponsor ,i will. this is a great forum and i would like to give them the business
