Default Window motors

Is there any different between the 2 sides? Like, could I use a right side motor in both sides or will it not fit/need to be reversed?

No, the window motors are the same on both sides - P/N 22137979 from GM. But don't buy an OEM motor - they're way too expensive and come with only a 90 day warranty. Aftermarket motors are available with a lifetime warranty for around $50.

If they aren't side specific then that would make me extremely happy! My right side motor is almost dead and I have a Left side OEM motor sitting around with 38k miles. Not trying to highjack the thread, but do you need a rivet gun to install?

No. Once the original rivets are drilled out you just use bolts in their place.

Lifetime warrenty = take back and get a free second motor.

And it was 60 bucks for the aftermarket motor, my window better beat me in the 1/4 now.

Aftermarket window motors are available from any local parts store (Pep Boys, AutoZone, etc.). Just tell them your make, year and model and they will get you the part for around $50-60 with a lifetime warranty.

And DO NOT get a factory replacement. They suck.
