Its my first time doing any tuning on my own and its surprisingly easy. Luckily there's a local guy who's really good with it who walked me through the setup and still answers some questions for me. It went from first start up on a new setup to ready to drive and let it learn in about 30 minutes, most of that was confirming the base timing and figuring out the correct inductive delay from the crank trigger.
