I don't see why not. It's not like you're putting an SS hood on a v-6. It's no different that what GM did with the f-bodies. The option models, SS, WS6, Firehawk, were more cosmetic and bolt-ons than model changes.
But just like everyone has said, just don't badge it an SS and you'll be fine.

i agree with everyone, nothing wrong with throwing an SS hood on a Z28. but i dont like seeing people rebadge cars, even if you've done everything to clone it, i still wouldn't swap badges.
haha i agree 100%. i could not bring myself to put an SS hood on the V6, it just didnt feel right to me. where as i had no problem putting the WS6 hood on the T/A

its all about styling and the SS hood has more of it than the regular z28 hood. i got myself a hood, but i also got lucky and picked up the spoiler at the same time. i dunno if i'd rock the ss hood without a different spoiler.

i did it and did the spoiler too and love it. BUT, if i could do everything over again, i would probably get a sunoco hood and the ss spoiler. i think it would just make the car look more unique. i hate original z28 hood, its too bland and makes our cars look like v6s.

i dont see nothing wrong with an ss hood or wing as long as you dont rebadge it.
im trying to get the retro look to my car and i kind of like the flat regular hood and wing but i do tend to change around the car once and a wile.
