03 cobra shift ****
i saw a picture of a guy on the boards a while back that had an '03 Cobra shift **** on their car. I got one from a friend and i wanted to know how you got it to work. the threads are wrong. did you re-thread the handle or get a different one?

gotta buy a pro 5.0 shifter first. Then you gotta buy the 03 cobra Pro 5.0 stick. Then, that **** will fit perfect.
I really need to get a 03 cobra **** though, would you be interested in selling it to me if you decide not to use it? please pm me and let me know if you don't want it, or decide it's too much of a hassle!
Thanks
tim

actually an easier, less expensive route would be to redrill/thread and keep your shifter. here is the write up on it.

Is there a Mustang handle that will bolt on to the stock shifter? I'd like to avoid buying a Pro 5.0, or having to drill/tap/die, but I will probably do the latter if my idea won't work.

Yes, has anyone tried this? I don't really want to buy a whole new shifter to accomodate my ****, and they do indeed bolt in at the same spot, so I don't know why it wouldn't work. Anyone have any experience with this?

the **** will fit on the pro 5 shifter handle for the stang, and that handle will fit on your hurst shifter. so, you buy the pro 5 shifter handle for the stang, the 03 cobra ****, and put it on your hurst shifter. if you so choose. it was cheaper for me to have a new custom handle made
