Default th400 swap now it won't start

I'm attributing this to not having the shifter harness wired up. I'm assuming it's due to the neutral safety switch not being wired up. Can someone tell me how to bypass this for the time being? I'll also need to know how to properly fix the problem so I can be safe of course. I have a b&m pro ratchet shifter which doesn't have the neutral safety switch on it.

Yeah I have a new issue now. Either the b&m ratchet shifter is no good or I'm missing 3rd gear

so are you trying to hook up the wires that come from the b&m shifter to the stock harness from the old shifter? my hurst pistol grip had 2 wires but i didnt use them just connected the 2 wires from the stock harness together just gotta make sure your in park before you start the car... i had an issue getting my car into first all the way and come to find out the hurst pistol grip comes ready for a glide so i had to remove this piece that wouldnt allow the shifter to go all the way back. thats what i get for not reading the instructions lol

yes check your shifter, some come setup for a powerglide and you have to convert it to a 3 speed, did you find the 2 wires under the steering colun to jump?

the wires that you have to put together is from the stock shifter harness in your center console.

I have it running and driving. It only goes into to two gears, but it ratchets for all the gears.

you gotta adjust the shifter then, read the instructions its prolly set up for a glide, i had to remove the little tab on my hurst pistol grip to let it ingage into first.

It's a rmvb gated shifter and the pin is in the correct hole for the 3 speed. It says it's supposed to be in the upper hole, which is where it is. I'm going to try and adjust the shifter cable and see if that gets me where I'm supposed to be
