trans temp sender...
hey guys, I just read through all the old posts on this and read quite a few posts about a bolt half way up the tranny that the sender will fit right into.
does anyone have any pics of their install, so I can see it before I start?(the sender, NOT the gauge..) If not, exactly which bolt is it? measurements would be nice if possible
thanx in advance!

i read the sme thing. get under your car and look at the tranny on the drivers side. about 4inches up is a bolt just sitting there. it is allll by itslef. there are no belts around. you cant miss it!
the sender will thread in, and dont forget some tape on the threads.

heres an easy way to spot it. slide under the car from the drivers side. find the pan, and then look up about 4 inches. its a bolt just sitting there. theres nothing connected to it. its just sitting there.

You will not get an accurate reading from that spot.
Here is what i did.
Go to Autozone ( similar part store) and get a B&M drain plug kit.
remove your tranny pan & drill a hole 1/2 in. in diameter. Install the adapter to the pan & instead of using the drain plug, place the sender in it. Works Great & you will get a "true" reading of the fluid. JMO!! Good luck.
