Get a lower stall.
I don't think brand really matters. Except the most common tc's on this board are Vigilante, Yank and TCI.
But i could be wrong, someone please correct me if I am.

I get about 15-18MPG mixed driving w/ a TCI 3000 and
3.23s. Never stay off the highway for a whole tankfull.

I lost between 0 and 2MPG across the converter swap,
had pre-swap tanks that were worse than post-. It really
comes down to how hard you slip it, and the gears aren't
going to help you on the highway (unlike the converter
which will lock and not affect you there).

The gears will hurt your MPG more than converter, like said converter will lock up on the freeway and not effect MPG, but gears will put you in a higher RPM and will burn more gas. Just info, our Vigi3600 with 3.42's driving to the thunder event in 02 made 24.5 MPG on the freeway. Now city driving is a different game, lots of verter slipage makes MPG go down.

I've got a TCI 3500 stall and on half a tank I went about 170 miles. I haven't tuned it or anything. I've read several posts on here that guys get "better" gas mileage with that stall and 3.73s. But I couldn't say unless I had 3.73s. I will soon though and I'll post up.

A Vig 2800, Yank SS3600 or SY 3500, or TCI 3300 should only cost you 1 - 2 mpg in town.

I'm not sure. I'd have to get with my tuner and get back with you. I do know that he has it set differently for part throttle and WOT, but that's all I remember. I'll have to get back to you on that.

Tajay,
There is alot to it. Your mileage could be poor due to the car running with an incorrect fuel mix and that must be corrected first then we can work on the TC and Trans settings. BTW I tuned Hyperchick car. If you have any questions call 813.253.0961 currently the phone are out but they will be back in a few hrs.

TaJay, its hard to give one figure for what milage should be. Its all in the driver with these cars, i've gotten 16mpg with mixed city and highway and other times i've gotten 23mpg. Drag racing weekly and a heavy foot doesn't seem to help out my milage to much

it would also depend on when you have your lock up set, i have mine set to lock up just after it shifts into 3rd for partial throttle driving (ie: city driving), took away the drone from the exhaust, making people think its stock and got some more mpg out of it.
