Default Tricky Question: Stall and zex kit

I just recently purchased a zex nitrous kit and i was planning on using it at the track. The kit is a self activating nitous system and all you have to do it enable it through a switch that you turn on/off. The kit claims that it comes on at WOT everytime by working with the TPS wires, so theres no need to push a button to spray, it sprays on its own. My concern is that i have a tci 3500 stall and if im at the tree lined up and i flip the switch and then i stall up at 3000rpm, does that mean that the system is continuallly shooting nitrous as i just sit there and stall up?.... if thats the case, should i just activate it after the luanch?

no, im just running the regular old system. I thought at 3000rpm it is considered the begining of WOT and since i stall up to 3000-3200rpm before the luanch, i was thinking that the nitrous would be shooting already as i stall

I would gues its a system set up to come one using the TPS as the button , With a separate switch for the enable/disable Yes you would want to leave it off during the burn out

oh yea, ill defenitly not switch it on during a burn out, but during the stall above 3000rpm?.... Im just wondering whats considered WOT and if it will be shooting nitrous while i stalll up at 3000rpm before the luanch since it activates at WOT

WOT is when the TPS says the throttle blades are wide open , Or you have the gas bottomed to the floor , Anytime that happens and its enabled it will spray

i have a microswitch that activates mine. It starts spraying whenever the pedal is to the floor.

the pedal has to be to the floor in order for it to read 100% throttle. now you should have a window switch that will only allow it to run between certain rpms.. like 3000-6xxx, a little bit under whatever your rev limiter is at. no matter what though it will only spray if the pedal is to the floor.

I know for sure that there is a calibration feature on a ZEX system that determines WOT. After installation you will need to go through a calibration set up command and then take the throttle to WOT.

What I am not sure about is if there is a threshold of say 95% that enables the system.

Been there, done that on the test mule next door at Xtreme Horsepower. We utilized a ZEX 150 shot system for a while on that car.

Let me know if you need help... I will forward your questions to those guys for you!
