Ummm.... This is not cool
Ok, I had a local shop put in a ss3600 tC and they messed up the tranny doing the install. forgot to hook up the oil lines, and the transmission went dry on the drive home. It screwed up the transmission. Took it to a dealership to get a quick rebuild. This was a mistake. It was way too expensive and they did a half *** job. I am working on a turbo project, and I noticed something hanging down. It was the stupid transmission cross member! I am guessing someone forgot to bolt the driver side up, or they stripped something and they backed out. took a couple of pics. I knew I should have just ordered something from a sponsor, and been done with it. I am going to need a new one anyways.
I Guess I should have just done my own work.

Man thats does suck . How in the world could they not notice they didnt bolt up the crossmember. Dealerships are not generally the best place to take a car I agree, But something so obvious. Anyway if you need any thing let us know and sorry your having such a bad time,

Seems like every day I'm reading about the shitty work a "local shop" did. Sorry to hear it man.
Try to do the work yourself next time if you can or take it to a sponsor on ls1tech.

Ya I am not going to let them redo the work. I am just going to get some bolts and bolt that up. I looking for a different transmission anyways... this thing wont be able to handle what I want to put through it. So, I will be calling some of you sponsors here soon.

Follow up... Got some bolts from a hardware store, and found out that one of the nuts is stripped. My tunnel brace is also missing!
Talked to the service manager at the dealership, and they are going to stand behind their work and fix everything. They said I will be able to check everything out before the car leaves, so that if something does "fall off" on a later date they will not be liable (no charge). I guess I am getting a new tunnel brace. Manager seemed like a good guy, didnt try to bs anything, and was just trying to get my car back the way it was when I took it to them.
Talked to the mechanic that worked on my car, and he defended himself (I was expecting that). He stated that because my car is a "Race Car," the car is under a lot of stress and stuff tends to get loose and can possible fall off because of the additional torque and vibrations.

As far as the Technicians' lousy defense... Do not hesitate to tell him Gilbert at ACE Racing Transmissions called bullshit on his comments. He is right in his comments to some extent. A nut and bolt check should be performed fairly often if it is ran hard often. BUT, there is no excuse for delivering a vehicle in the condition yours was.
They do not have the proper checks and balances in place that will ensure quality assurance, let alone make sure the cars are delivered in a safe condition.
Good Luck with it!
