Default Looser stall???

My best times are in my sig. Running a 3600 stall/4.10 gear/MT325/50 radials.
I'm thinking of going to a 4000 stall. Will it help some or slow me down? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

There is not enough info to help you determine that answer.

We need to know your engine rpm's through the trap.

What is your 60 ft. time?

My 60 on that run was 1.53.
MSD window switch was set at 4000 rpm.

I have a 4K stall and mine is set to spray at 3700.. If I were you, I would set it at 3400 or so. And ill bet you will get a 1.4X 60'.

Yeah, you're right. I should just experiment w/ the "on rpm" window, maybe as low as 3000 rpm or so, and leave the stall as it is. Thanks.

there have been some threads in the past about how low is to low to start sparaying without backfiring.. From what I remember, they said 3K so if I were you, I would not go under that. Naybe start 3400 and work your way down.

I would not change your stall yet as mentioned before. The car will rock some 1.4x 60's on the gun out of the gates.

FYI : The window switch was set high to help his stock trans and 10 bolt live for some time.

get a 12 bolt and trans and let's put the car on the bumper

Yea, I hear ya... I do have a FLT stage V trans.. but, stock drive shaft and beefed up 10 bolt. I am amazed on at the rear, 20-30 1.5X 60's and 3 1.4X 60's to date.. No humming and drives fine.

YES...The 10 bolt could last, but we all know it could let go at any time too.

We have been 1.43-1.46 maybe 50 x's in y dad's 01 Z/28 on 275/50 Radials.

stock 10 bolt and stock trans

I delay the N20 @ 4100 with a SS4000.

12bolt and FLT trans are going in soon and we are going to smack it out of the hole on a 28" ET Radial..should be fun

No doubt... the 10 bolt and stock DS are ticking time bombs. I did not have the extra cash last summer to upgrade, I took the chance and it held up.

This year will be a different story and plan on hitting the 200 shot out of the hole.
