Steering wheel column lock picture or diagram
Does anyone have an actual picture of the lock pin or lock mechanisim that keeps the steering wheel from moving when the key is not turned?
Is this some thing that is directly inside the ignition lock cylinder case? Im looking to do a keyless setup and have found that this will be my only real hurdle from making it a complete keyless push button system.
I've found that the C5/C6 has bypass boxes but the CTS/CtsV is not an electronic lock I beleive. The alldata info is a little vauge, and doesnt say anything in regards to the actual lock mechanisim itself.
Thanks!

I had the wheel off my V 50 times messing with my clock spring....I want to say it is just a pin and a plate...of which you can remove...but I may be remembering other cars. Keep us posted. The keyless push button start on my C6 is awesome. Wish the V had passive locking/ entry.

Advancedkeys.com wireless RFID keyless entry with push button start is the ticket I think. Paired with an 556UW PK3 bypass transponder and a lock pin removal will get me to where I would like to be.
