Default An opportunity for the 5.3 N/A nitrous guys....

I had a offering by a local engine dyno to dyno my engine for free. The favor will get returned when I introduce him to the carburetor LS world. I know he has a stock 5.3 there so i do believe we can get some exact numbers comparing a stock carbed to a tastefully built one. Ive done a ton of research on the topic of carbed 5.3 and have found this topic severely lacking. I will post the progress here sometime next week.

Thanks for reading.

Naa jet changes are easier. And when it blows my excuse will be that it was stock.

i didn't expect to see that sort of torque curve with that big of cam, relatively low compression, and small cubes. good job. for clarity: is this all motor or are you spraying it here? the numbers seem slightly higher than expected n/a, but definitely not high enough to indicate any sizable shot.

Yes it was .030. I know thats super tight but i did leave the stock pushrods in there for a safety fall back. I know thats not correct but its what i have to work with.

Damned man if you hadn't shorted on the valve springs and pushrods I would be excited to see you turn it way up. With a .030 valve clearance and beehives I'm hoping you have a engine diaper. Stock pushrods are not a safety margin.
