Mine should fire on the dyno this week and the rest of the car is just sitting and waiting for it. It could be running down the track in 2 weeks if I'm lucky.

If you have any questions go ahead and ask. I seem to hit evey issue possible.

I have 2 LS Vega setups. One I had a generic LS plate just modified to for on the bars in the front.

I also have a 76 green Vega that originally had the regular V8 kit for a SBC. Where you weld the mounts on the body and the engine mounted brackets lay down on them. I had a plate made that laid right down on the mounts made for the SBC kit.

Here is a pic of each setup. Both were custom, the green one more than the purple one.

The plate isn't that bad it's the exhaust and steering that is killer.

I cant decide which way to go with mine. Mild build or take the plasma cutter to it and do tube chassis with a 6.2 twin turbo/powerglide 12 bolt combo. I geuss I will see what the money tree sprouts before I make that decision.

Well if you do the mild you will just wish you did more then eventually do it anyway at twice the cost. Happens to me every time! lol

I was short one O2 extension cable on my FAST XFI this week and had one sent over nigh to the shop yesterday. It should have got there around 3 today so I'm thinking it should start up on the dyno tomorrow.

Anyone want to guess at a number?

Hey Rock,

I know you said "purple", but that looks blue to me. In fact, it looks like the Ford "Sonic Blue Pearl" (code SN) I used on my '72 LS-Maverick. Care to divulge the paint code?

Thanks!

Russ

It always looks total blue in pictures for some reason but in person its grape purple. Not a hint of blue at all in person. Don't know the code, it was like this when I bought it. Even had a rear plate that said "Welches"

Didn't spec the cam duration or mention nitrous. I'm guessing 575hp.

So far today we are at 605hp @ 6500 at the crank. They aren't done yet but I bet its pretty close. Should be fun in a 2600lb car. I'm pumped!

Ended up with 617 at the crank
