Default LS1 fan ?

What did you guys do for relay amp wise for the fans. Did you use one or two?

one per fan.....any standard 30/40 relay will do.

I was told I could use one 70 amp relay for both

you need one relay per fan to turn them on separately.

Its a carb car, no computer. Im not trying to argue but, I was told to tie the two together and use 1 relay to turn both on. Im using a temp switch in the head to turn then on. I was told to run the negative from the relay to the switch in the head

good diagram...
doing it like that makes it so that only one fan can be on at a time....
need power to go to 30 on both relays...and 87 to go to each fan...
the LS1 will want both fans on in high mode

stock pcm supplies a ground to enable the relay


personally, I prefer to use a 12v switched source for the relay to turn on instead of a ground to enable it...but you have to either have a separate switch, or be using a different controller for the fans.

Yep, read it fast and thought he meant one or two fans not relays. Two speed fan should have one speed at a time.
