Those look great. Lucky find! These could probably fit a lot of older round tail lamp cars.

I started to extend the factory RX8 rear package tray to the rear doors and to the sides. I am using my wire frame technique which will be wrapped in fleece and then coated with resin.

This will give a nice clean look when looking in from the back windows.

The rear seat area looks great. What's the plan for all that empty space in the rear? Subwoofers? Pull out grill? Luggage space?

Thanks. Definitely some subs right behind the seats, the rest will just be luggage space.

Hey this is a total hijack so I understand if you ignore - no problemo... but I have a guy that wants to trade me a 61 Econoline pickup as part of a trade & cash thing and all I would do is want to flip the Econoline. But I know absolutely nothing about these trucks so I would welcome any guidance. This one has the curved rear 1/4 glass and a broken 3rd gear of the 3 on the tree.

Anyway sorry for the distraction and trozfan fantastic build! I am not worthy!

Since you log everything you do, how much total time do you have in this entire project and when did you start?

Depending on the condition, the truck can bring some decent money. The early Econolines are pretty hot right now. Search Econoline on eBay motors under completed auctions and it will give you an idea of what you can get for it.

I'm close to 600 hours so far. I figure I have another 500 to go. I started in April 2010. It has not gone nearly as quickly as I wanted. Finding time/money and staying motivated has been hard.

On a more exciting side note: I am starting to order the parts for the fuel system so I can finally here this baby run after 5 years! Just ordered Fragola PTFE stainless lines with 6an ends. Just need to get the in tank fuel pump from Tanks Inc., a battery, and do a little wiring and hopefully she will start. I will keep you posted.
