LS1 POWERED 67 CAMARO!
Well the Guy`s at Agostino Racing are at it once again! I made the decision to yank the 440 cube big block out of my 67 Camaro and drop in a 427 cube LS1..and yes it will have a little juice on it!(you know what we are like)
We will be offering a complete engine swap kit that will include hedders, mounts, pcm, wiring harness, oil pan,air intake(also complete drop in engine packages) and any other parts needed.
I will have a bunch of pics to post really soon!
Did i mention that were shooting for mid 9`s...

Hmm, interesting...
I would think that a tubular subframe with front mounted rack steering would be a good idea to try out with a LS1 derived engine in a 1st Gen. Think about the weight it would save...I could barely lift up my bare subframe by itself, and that was before I bolted anything onto it. Maybe even use some newer F-body brakes like that Hotchkis <sp?> 2nd gen Camaro did.
I also think that using a rack would help with engine placement since the steering linkage wouldn't be in the way of a factory oil pan. Good luck with the project,

Oil pan clearence wasn`t that big of an issue, and we did take about 200lbs off the nose of the car! and it`s 4 inches short than the big block..should be a fun ride!

It isn't quite a 67 f-body, but at least it's a 67!

Here's mine:

Was installed using self made brackets and wiring from a 2000 T/A. I've been in the process of major upgrades to the car and should be finished by summer.
