Default Poly Motor Mounts with LS1 swap?

About to drop the LS1 into my LT1 shell. Have the LS1 K member but am unsure on what to do with the motor mounts? Just go with stock ones or upgrade to the polyurethane? If poly, what brand? I see the spohn ones around, are they good. Thanks alot.

Go with Poly while you have the engine out or can still change the mounts now.

I have good luck with Energy Suspension mounts.

If none of the sponser has them or at a good price..

You should be able to get them from any parts store that has a High Performance part distributor. If not... there is always Jegs or SummitRacing

I used the Prothane poly motor mounts. We carry them at Thunder.

The stock mounts are junk. You will understand once they are off of the engine. I just finished the swap with the engine/headers in the car....in the name of all that is good and holy please do it NOW to avoid doing it in the car.
Also, you will need a couple of BIG pry bars to get them lined up.

It may be easier to do out of the car but, a person can install them in a evening in garage with a few cuss words.
