Translate my 1/8 mile time please!
I was wondering what by 1/8 mile timeslip would look like in the 1/4. This is from Mooresville Dragway. I have 3.42s out back with a 26" tire, and in the 1/8th it shifts to 3rd like 50 feet before the traps if this has any influence.

Remember these are all guesses, as we don't know how the car will run the back-half of a 1/4-mile track.
For example:
My 12.93 at 106.94 1/4-mile pass in the Formula had a 8.32 at 85.80 1/8-mile. Thus, the 1.57 comes up with 13.06, and the run was made with a 6 mph headwind!
My 11.42 at 114 mph 1/4-mile pass in the Nova had a 7.21 at 94.25 1/8-mile. Thus, the 1.57 comes up with 11.32.

I know my 60' times were worse but the car seemed to be hooking fine. My MPH was down in the 8th by around 2MPH from usual and down by 4MPH from what it usually went in the 1/4 last year.
Edit: About a month ago I used to go to Mooresville every week on street tires and run 7.70s @ 90mph. Then I got my MT drag radials and started 60'ing better and going 7.50s @ 90mph.
So I to Rockingham and go 7.80s and low MPH.
BTW thanks to anyone that has provided any input or opinion in my thread, appreciate it.

Air temp and track elevation will affect the car more than anything else. When comparing times, you could be dead-hooking and be 2-5 hundredths slower if the DA, temperature, humidity, etc is worse. Try to find out what each track's elevation is, and then keep track is what the weather conditions are. This will give you a better comparison when looking at timeslips.
