Default My Stock Internal M6 buid thread...10's???

The car is a 2001 MMM Z28 M6. I've owned the car for about a year and a half now and has gone a best of 12.18 @ 116.8 w/ 1.87 60' in +1183 DA according to drag times. The car is about 3230lbs in street trim with a full tank and 18in z06 replicas. Thats with all panels, radio, AC and all options...

Mods at time of track times:
Pacesetter LT's w/ TSP true duals
SLP UD Pulley
LID
SUX2BU ram-air
LCA relocation brackets
Bald 245 nittos

Added since track times:

Home ported TB
Harlan Shift lightZa

Plans before the cold weather:
MWC fab 9 w/ 4.30-4.56 and 28 or 29in stiff wall ET drags
PST Aluminum DS
ABS delete/ line lock
Adj drag shocks
2-step
Adj LCA's
Adj PHR
More weight removal!

I think you're gonna have to tin can the hell out of it to make it. Which drag bar/torque arm setup you going with? What all will you be doing to save the weight?

Default 6 speed

keep us informed. 10's would be very impressive with a 6 speed.

Probably 10s are definitely a lofty goal, this year I'm looking for low 11's hopefully..

just add the "Tornado" to you list, and 10's shouldn't be a problem - along with a 6200 rpm clutch hit off the line.

i would add tubular k-member, lightweight battary, delete traction control and all that ****, cut fender metal if you havent already, manual rack....(already said you had skinnies that will help) drag brakes maybe if you can pull them off atleast for the front....maybe electric waterpump that picks up a few ponys....ur cars already running pretty strong it seems like what does it weigh ?

117 is strong. I was running 115 stock internal in good air, but i have converter slip. Get that 60' down with less weight and more rpm off the line and you'll make it to 11's easy.

6200 off the line isn't out of the question...

Theres plenty I COULD do, but most of those things are out of the question money wise this season... I didn't list all my weight reduction either I pit my weight up top.. And that's street trim..

Like I said, I see rebuilds in your future.

IF you want 10's you need to cut into the 1.4's 60 foots, which means off the limiter hits. Which then means you need to do a good amount of suspension work.

I think it will take 122-123 mph from a m6...just because they are so hard to 60ft like an a4...

couple 100lbs of weight reduction, better traction 60fts and cold - da...going to need all three to make it work...best of luck man...

remember there is a reason why not many have done it before...it's going to take making everything perfect...I am doing that battle now going for 9s...
