I had a hose with a gauge attached that was long enough to stick under the wiper. Left over from my turbo Buick days

Oh and I tried weighing at a scrap yard once and turned around and left because the dirt was so filled with screws, nails, and other shrapnel it wasn't worth leaving with 4 flat tires over..

I'll be there!...make a few 1/8 runs and then see how long it takes for'em to kick me off. BTW just jivin on the weight thing, I know you'll run 122 or better with what you've done

It's not the miles - more the age.

Im not sure... going by the numbers, I will be right on the edge of pulling 122 by the end of the night, but most likely spend most of my time in the mid 121's...

My raceweight was 3260 with me, my laptop, and a few little tools. But the car alone weighed right under 3100.

Now it's got a racetronix pump/hotwire and asa injectors - I'm wondering if it'll pickup....took a complete retune to get the afr's back in check.
Mine did the same thing. I replaced the pump, added a hotwire kit, replaced the regulator and changed the filter... still not fixed

That's why I think I weigh less than you.. I know your doing the k-member etc... Do you have an estimate of your potential Raceweight? Mine is gettin down there for sure..

Can you make a list of what you took out of the car that was stock and what aftermarket pieces you got for weight savings? I have calculated my car's raceweight without me in it around 3200. All stock susp and chassis minus springs/shocks/sfc's.

I'm excited too, There hasn't been a documented stock internal car that I know of that has had everything I am going to have... doesn't mean it will be faster, but it sure will be interesting to see the results.

I am not gonna lie, Im really hoping that between the 104mm Lid, 100mm MAF, 102mm TB, 102mm intake, EWP, 1-7/8ths headers, and a real AFR tune I can pick up 2 tenths and mph... but who knows!!

Typically I've been good at taking weight out, NOT at making the most horsepower!
If you don't pickup at least 2 tenths after all that and dropping 50#s+ you'd probably be doing this >>>

I'm sure you'd have two tenths and maybe two MPH in the tune by itself. It's going to need a tune really bad after you swap over to that 104mm lid and 100mm MAF. Anything you change to the MAF or to the intake tract before the MAF will throw the calibration off. My stock MAF calibration changed about 10-15% from just swapping the stock air box to a crummy whisper lid.

Ive preached it before, and Im gonna say it again, because it is the ONLY reason no one has broken the M6 SS record yet.

GEAR AND TIRE!!!

Get the combination right - the hardest part is getting the damn car off the line without spinning, and without bogging.

Higher gear,taller tire...

Oh and as an FYI, when I was SI, I was on the stock LS6 type intake, stock balancer, and didnt have much weight out of the car.

Nah, I can't give all my secrets away.. There is the weight reduction sticky that breaks a lot down. I haven't reinvented the wheel, everything I have done has been done before

Between the MAF and intake/TB the car is gonna be pretty bad until I get it tuned for sure..

Definitely. My plan is 4.30's and 28's at the moment. I will be crossing the line at too many RPMs if I go 4.56's unless I moved to a 29in tire or something, and yes that is factoring in growth...

See that's what I don't get... You still have the stock brakes, stock rear wheels, stock a-arms, stock seat, carpet (light, I know), and a/c... right? How do you figure we would be that close?

Im not sure man... Why is your car so heavy? I run a race seat at the track by the way, and the carpet is ozite, so it basically weighs nothing, but all the other stuff is true. You do have a cage and a 9in...

No cage, and the 9" is only about 7 lbs heavier if I remember correctly. No matter, they're both feather weights in the f-body world...
