32# is a lot for the Kemeber, what is it? I looked and didn't see you say.

how did you get that bar above the gas tank out? I drilled out thous 4 ends spot welds, and ther more then that. Is it spot welded from inside the car to behind the back seat? or is it just glued in? I have my interior is right now.

when you pulled the fog lights, did you get the metal off the headlight brakets too? Pull them and you and drill the metal arm off them running down for the fogs. More weight

Its the BMR k-member. The stock one weighed 55# and the BMR weighed 23#. They advertise 32# savings as well I have heard of some of the other ones (racecraft etc) being lighter, but I couldn't beat the BMR for the price..

The metal above the rear end is spot welded from the inside. I couldn't figure out why it wouldnt come off! There is 6 or so spot welds on the inside though, and then it just fell off. It didn't weigh as much as I hoped, but every bit helps!

I didn't take all of the bracket off bc I was doing it with the nose still on, but I'm going to be taking the nose off soon for some other weight removal, and those will come off then too most likely..

I like it though, keep the ideas coming!

cool, I'll have to pull the carpet and seat out again. So you had to weld up the holds?

I'm gona take my front end off again too, now I have a plasma cutter. I can trim it up a little better

I WISH I had a plasma cutter! It would make everything soo much easier! I have to hack away at everything with a sawzall and angle grinder. I'm sure Im leaving plenty on the table because of it too

I also don't have a welder, another huge headache. Don't tell anyone, but I just took a few layers of aluminized tape and put it over the holes and covered it with the carpet.. Not necessarilly "fixed" but it will do for now, and I haven't noticed any extra noise. Then again its hard to hear anything in my car period

Got some more parts in

Next to the stock throttle body!

The O.D. of the stock throttle body completely fits within the I.D. of the intake

Dang.. Im giving all my info to the competition! lol

I'm excited too, There hasn't been a documented stock internal car that I know of that has had everything I am going to have... doesn't mean it will be faster, but it sure will be interesting to see the results.

I am not gonna lie, Im really hoping that between the 104mm Lid, 100mm MAF, 102mm TB, 102mm intake, EWP, 1-7/8ths headers, and a real AFR tune I can pick up 2 tenths and mph... but who knows!!

Typically I've been good at taking weight out, NOT at making the most horsepower!

I'm interested to see what the 102 does also. Mine made 362/368 with the 90/90 and EWP, although that was through the 9" and steel ds but it's a good reference.

Those are good numbers! I would be more than happy with that! Im not convinced mine makes a ton of power. Is yor 90/90 ported? You also said you saw a couple tenths pickup playing with your tune at the track? Was that before or after the dyno?

Intake is not ported, at least it wasn't at the time of the dyno. Those were actually the numbers it made when I was was having it tuned by a local shop, after I switched to my own tune I picked up 2 tenths and 2 mph but haven't had it on the dyno since then.I'm not sure why you don't think you're making much power... your car weighs more than mine and you've still got more than enough mph to run with me.

I don't think mine is weak or anything, I just don't think it is any kind of freak either. I'm pretty sure were close in weight, if anything I'm lighter, and ran in much better air..

So your saying the intake is ported now? Lol. 2 mph is a huge gain over a shops dyno tune! I hope I pick that much up from everything I'm doing plus a tune combined

There's no way your car is lighter, no offense. There's pretty much nothing on my car not essential to goin fast.

Honestly I hope your right lol.. That just means good things for me, but have you done more to take out weight? I was thinking you were around 3200 Raceweight? I was most likely right around 3100 race weight last time I raced and should be 3030ish this thursday..

If you guys help sponsor dyno time I will happily do back to backs on everything.. I just don't have the money to waste..

I think I'm gonna paint the intake satin black..

Here's an idea...load up all you stripped, go to nearest scrap yard and get paid to get an accurate weight on car.

Might want to look at the fuel pump too....if you already haven't. Last time I ran my car it was down to 30-32psi of fuel pressure going through the traps.

Now it's got a racetronix pump/hotwire and asa injectors - I'm wondering if it'll pickup....took a complete retune to get the afr's back in check.

Hey TK! You need to come race tomorrow and shoot for low 12's in the vert! By the way I know how much I have taken out, just not how much it started at Im pretty sure I'm within 20lbs on my estimates.According to my scales, I have taken 581.85lbs out thus far

Oh and I tried weighing at a scrap yard once and turned around and left because the dirt was so filled with screws, nails, and other shrapnel it wasn't worth leaving with 4 flat tires over..

Silly question, how did you measure your fuel pressure at WOT? It would be nice if you gained some from the swap!
