Default Colonel's first TCI 3500 track results!

I ran the 1/8 today. It was a nice day. Clear skys but warm. No need for a coat, that's for sure. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Anyway, last time out I ran 1.83 8.11@86.28 (1/4 was 12.68 @ 107.64) with a sweet DA of -1610ft. The DA today was about +620 FT assuming a track altitude of 400 FT (I'm not positive on the altitude of this track but that's pretty close.)

Mods since last trip are a switch from my Yank 2400 to the TCI 3500, a shift kit, an underdrive pulley, QTP headers, and a QTEC electric exhaust cuttout (man I love that thing!)

The first pass was the best one since the track was hooking best then. I stalled it up to about 2300 and rolled into the throttle briskly.

1.62 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
7.501 (This should translate into 11.7s in the 1/4!!!)
89.75

I never could get it to hook quite that well again but man was a STOCKED! I had thought MAYBE a 1.65-1.67 with perfect traction but this thing no doubt has 1.5s in it with a set of ET Streets. This was done on Nittos and as I said, I did not hit the converter as hard as I could but rather rolled briskly into the throttle to better maintain traction.

Remember, FULL weight (minus spare and jack only), internally stock, 3.23 gears.

I'm speachless. This converter ROCKS! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Sounds like that converter is working as well as similarly sized yanks and PI's.

sounds great man!
One question though:
Do you want every car you own to have at least a 5-point harness and roll bar??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

"12.0s are going to be tough even with the new mods without the help of some weight reduction or some great air."

"I agree with your numbers and agree that if everything falls into place the car can run 12.0x but it is not often that it all comes together at the same time."

"11s now…. It will be very hard to do. You will need great air, traction, a great converter, some weight reduction, a stiff tail wind, and luck! If you can cut a 1.57 60 and trap around 112.5mph then you will have it."

MMP this weekend? After those comments from a certain doubtful buddy of mine, I wouldn't miss it for ANYTHING! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Wanna place a little friendly wager that Project Stealth busts off some 11s Friday night? That 7.50 was with a DA of about 620 FT. It's a safe bet it'll be pretty negative Friday night. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

I may even strap on a set of ET Streets and disconnect the front swaybar just to make sure I can pull some 1.5 60s. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

Can you please list your mods. That is a hell of a good time if that is a stock internal motor.
Thanks, Larry

Just for kicks, what were your other 60's on your other runs?

I am looking at maybe getting a TCI 4400ish stall.

Between increasing the timing, raising the shift points, and deleting the TQ management I'd say a tenth at the most in the 1/8th. Call it 1.25 tenths in the 1/4.

In no particular order...

Colonel: Your '02 car needs a pair of 26-8.5x15 ET Drags. They are excellent for a car w/your mods. Your 60's AND mph's will be great! Believe me. WJ. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

This is true. 1.5 60s are in the bag. <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />
