I've seen people modify the mounting bracket and still run y-pipes using his torque arm, someone just posts something about it with pictures.

If madman is doing the torque arm just have him bend you a piece up so it will clear the y-pipe.

I have Magnaflow 4"x9" oval mufflers dumped off of the collectors.

Here is my thread about them: https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-racing-tech/713679-3-true-duals-vs-magnaflow-mufflers-off-collectors.html

They do not make a 3"/3" do they? Didn't see it on the page. Those are over priced IMO.

I have flowmaster 1 chambers on my collectors with turndowns facing in toward eachother. It did help with the fumes but made is louder in the car. the Drivers side has a 12" piece of pipe to clear the brace. Pass side is clamped straight to the collector.

It sounds almost the same as open headers.I just put them on to pass tech for my class which requires mufflers.Yes they are very easy to install just weld them right onto the kooks and yes any muffler shop will do it as long as you tell them it is for off road because some of them are kinda funny when it comes to emission stuff(no cats)

I did this too and it was about the best of the few I tried. Very quiet for a straight through muffler.

I have a pair like new for sale in the classifieds, FYI.
