That just goes to show ya why dynos are mainly a measurement for tuning...I had my 96 383 lt1 m6 car dynoed at a place and it only put down like 350whp(shorty headers and 90 degrees w/ 88% humidity in the dyno room did not help any lol). I added LT headers and retuned it, seemed to help alot, never went back to the dyno tho. It was beating cars making 50whp more, so I quit caring about dyno numbers!

here is a vid of me racing a bpu supra on race gas tune, 20psi boost. His setup is trapping around 118-120, putting down around 420-440whp.

Well....what are your mods...how can you expect people to know what it is up without knowing your mods? If you have heads/cam/Intake Mani and then the second tuner you took it too needs to get his **** recalibrate.

If that's the case, he hasn't seen very many LS vehicles at all.

heads cam car, the first dyno was right. That second guy is probably a ford or gen 1 , or just an LS1 hater.

Most LS1's cam only make about 400 rwhp with a fast and some heads your lookin at over 450. I hate misinformed people who think old stuff is the only way to go fast.

every dyno is different. No such thing as a right one or wrong one.

The first dyno was likley a very generous one and the second wasnt.

Nothing new

Its an auto with a loose converter, low end heads, and a medium sized cam, I would say he is closer to the lower numbers. If it was a 6spd, probably the higher numbers. Were these dyno runs locked/unlocked, what gear did you make the pulls in, and did it downshift on the first dyno numbers? I wouldnt think you would see a stock cube, auto, loose converter, heads and cam car hit 430's....

Dynos are tuning tools...go to the track and see what she runs to get an idea of where you are at!!! All dynos are different!!

Just from what I have seen from some friends locally, if you put down 360's through an auto with a loose *** converter like that, you are making good power. One of my close friends around here had a built 408ci iron block motor and a 4L80e with a loose as converter, that put down 435 rwhp...ran 10.80's all motor around 3400 lbs...its all in the combo, not the dyno numbers!!
